Quality, limits, and honesty
JPEG is lossy. Fine photographic detail survives well; hard 1-pixel UI lines can ring if you drag quality too low. Start around 0.85 and only drop it when the file must fit an email cap.
Transparent pixels become white. If you needed a colored backdrop instead, composite in an editor first — this page is the straight PNG→JPG path, not a full design studio.

FAQ
Will the transparent parts of my PNG stay see-through as JPG?+
No. JPEG has no alpha channel. Transparent pixels are composited on white so the file opens as a normal photo in mail apps and printers.
Does converting PNG to JPG upload my screenshot?+
No. Decoding, canvas draw, and JPEG encode run in your browser. wikawe never receives the file for this tool.
Can I convert several PNGs at once?+

Why does the JPG look slightly softer than the PNG?+
JPEG discards high-frequency detail to shrink the file. Raise the quality slider if type or icons look mushy; PNG stays the better archive if you still need a lossless master.
